Overview：

ANSI Y Strainer Filter is a small device to remove a small amount of solid particles in the liquid, which can protect the normal work of the equipment, when the fluid enters the filter cartridge with certain specifications, the impurities are blocked, and the clean filtrate is discharged from the filter outlet, when it needs to be cleaned, just take out the removable filter cartridge and reload it after processing, therefore, it is extremely easy to use and maintain.

Notes on the use and installation of the product：

Before installing the filter, carefully clean the threaded connection surface of all pipes and use pipe sealant or Teflon tape (Teflon) in appropriate amounts. The end threads should be left untreated to avoid the entry of sealant or Teflon tape into the piping system. The filter can be installed horizontally or vertically downward. When installing 1-1/4" (DN32) or larger socket weld filters or all D series filters, be aware that the gaskets of these filters are non-metallic and can be damaged by overheating. Therefore, the welding time should be shortened and the filter should be cooled after welding is completed. If preheating is required prior to welding or continued heating is required after welding (D series filters), it is recommended that the gasket be removed before heating.

Installation Notes：

1. y-type filter can be installed horizontally or vertically, and the direction of system water flow should be the same as the direction of the arrow on the valve body during installation.

2. In order to facilitate maintenance, the filter should be installed and used together with the shut-off valve, and the shut-off valve should be installed in the upstream and downstream of the filter, so that once the filter needs maintenance, the upstream and downstream shut-off valves can be closed to cut off the connection between the filter and the system.

3. The upstream and downstream of the filter should preferably be installed with a pressure gauge, if the difference between the upstream and downstream pressure gauge readings is large, it means that there are already a lot of impurities on the filter, and when there is liquid flow through the filter, the liquid resistance is much larger than normal use, so it is necessary to clean the filter in time.

4. in order not to delay the normal use of the system when repairing the filter, it is best to install a bypass line while installing the filter, close the shut-off valve on the bypass tube in normal times, and open the shut-off valve on the bypass tube when the filter is being repaired.

5. When installing the filter, attention should be paid to reserving a certain maintenance space for normal daily maintenance.

Product maintenance and care：

1. The core part of the filter is the filter core, the filter core consists of the filter frame and stainless steel wire mesh, stainless steel wire mesh is a wearable part, need special protection.

2. When the filter works for a period of time, the filter core has precipitated certain impurities, when the pressure drop increases, the flow rate will drop, and the impurities in the filter core need to be removed in a timely manner.

3. When cleaning impurities, pay special attention to the stainless steel wire mesh on the filter core can not be deformed or damaged, otherwise, the damaged filter core, the purity of the filtered media will not reach the design requirements, compressors, pumps, instruments and other equipment will be damaged;.

4. If the stainless steel wire mesh is found to be deformed or damaged, it needs to be replaced immediately.
