Floating ball valve

The floating ball valve has a simple structure and good sealing, but the ball bears the load of the working medium is all transmitted to the outlet seal, so consider whether the seal material can withstand the working load of the ball medium. This structure, widely used in low and medium pressure ball valves.

Fixed ball valve

The ball valve's ball is fixed and does not move when pressurized. Fixed ball ball valve are with floating seat, after being pressed by the medium, the seat produces movement, so that the seal ring is pressed tightly on the ball to ensure sealing. Usually equipped with bearings on the upper and lower shafts with the ball, the operating torque is small and suitable for high pressure and large diameter valves. In order to reduce the operating torque of the ball valve and increase the reliability of the seal, in recent times there is an oil-sealed ball valve, both between the sealing surface pressure injection of special lubricating oil to form a layer of oil film, that is, to enhance the sealing, but also to reduce the operating torque, more suitable for high-pressure large-diameter ball valves.

Resilient ball ball valve

The ball valve's ball is resilient. The ball and seat seal are made of metal materials, sealing specific pressure is very large, relying on the pressure of the medium itself has not reached the requirements of sealing, external force must be applied. This valve is suitable for high temperature and high pressure media. The resilient sphere is resilient by opening a resilient groove in the lower end of the inner wall of the sphere, and the resilience is obtained. When closing the passage, the wedge-shaped head of the valve stem is used to make the ball rise open and the valve seat pressed to achieve sealing. Release the wedge before turning the ball, the ball then returns to its original shape, so that there is a small gap between the ball and the valve seat, which can reduce the friction of the sealing surface and operating torque.
